Members of Tenterden Lions were invited to visit the Lions Club in Le Touquet last weekend.
Six Lions, wives and friends from Tenterden stayed with families in various places around Le Touquet and were taken to local markets, beaches and a wonderful wildfowl and nature reserve called Le Parc du Marquenterre in the Somme.
Some Le Touquet members took part in a Car Rally on the last day which finished at the Airo Delahaye Airpark, a small airport where pilots of small aircraft can park their aircraft in their own garage under their house! There they provided us with a great lunch before our departure and return journey home.
Our hosts looked after us very well and welcomed us into their homes. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves over the 3 days and would like to thank the Le Touquet Lions and families for their kind hospitality, for which we are very grateful.
It revived our spirits to carry on with our fundraising in the UK and we hope our association with the Le Touquet club will continue into the future.
