There were celebrations on the 22nd November when Tenterden Lions President Mike Caridia and Vice President Alan Later presented the Tenterden Social Hub with a cheque for £325 to cover the cost of replacing the blinds in a recreational room, currently being refurbished.
Social Hub CEO, Spencer Goddard, said “This donation couldn’t have come at a better time as we are facing cuts in KCC grants and need as much support as possible from local groups like the Lions. When finished, the room will provide additional facilities for our members and a place where they can relax. We are very grateful to Tenterden Lions”
Commenting on the presentation, Lion President Mike Caridia said “We are delighted to have helped the Social Hub. Over 80% of the money we raise is distributed to local causes, the remainder goes to Lions International for international disasters or causes. This donation to the Hub is a prime example of how we strive to help individuals and organisations in Tenterden and the surrounding area”.
