Tenterden Lions Club Charity Show on Friday 20th May was a great success. The event was organised to raise funds for Tenterden Day Centre and the Pilgrims Hospice.
Everyone involved must be congratulated for such a brilliant production, these include the organiser Lion Chris Cheeseman, compere Lion Keith Holness, the Highworth Chamber Choir, The Vintage Ukuleles and singers Martin Rendle and Hannah Kirk. President Barry Cheesmur was there to welcome everyone together with other Tenterden Lions.
Despite the magician being ill and sadly unable to attend, Keith Holness, ably assisted by John Norman, performed magic tricks, told jokes and entertained the audience.
The finale featured ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ with Martin Rendle, Hannah Kirk and enthusiastic audience participation.
It was one of those concerts which will linger in the memory for some time with acts which will be remembered for many years to come.
